Jason Ham | PIANO & Percussion

Jason Ham, a 14-year-old freshman attending Valley Christian High School, is an aspiring concert pianist who has won 1st places in numerous Piano Competitions, including the American Youth Music Talent International, Competition, Silicon Valley Philharmonic Music Competition, Salzburg International, San Francisco International Innovative Music Competition, United States Open Music Competition, United States International Music Competition, and the Northern California Young Talent Competition. He was recently invited to perform in the Gala Concert for the Winners at the San Francisco International Young Musicians Festival at Barbro Osher Hall in San Francisco. Just recently, during this summer of 2024, he made his European debut at the Solitär Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. Jason is a student of teacher Michelle Lee, who inspires him to dedicate himself passionately to musical excellence. When not playing the piano, he also enjoys playing the drums, participating in Boy Scouts, traveling, and spending time with his Goldendoodle Kona.
Lumi Kim | Violin

Lumi Kim is a freshman at Valley Christian School. Her musical journey began with piano lessons at the age of five, and by seven, she had added the violin to her repertoire. Since 2019, she has been a dedicated member of the California Youth Symphony (CYS), where she served as principal violinist for the Associate Orchestra during the 2023-2024 season. She currently holds the position of co-principal violinist in the Senior Orchestra of CYS. In both 2023 and 2024, she was selected for the CASMEC Junior High All-State Orchestra, and in 2024, had the honor of serving as concertmaster for the Concert Orchestra. During the summers of 2023 and 2024, Lumi participated in the KAMSA orchestra and the Hopebox charity orchestra. In addition, she attended the Summer Music Institute at Tateuchi Hall (2023) as well as the Center Stage Strings program at the University of Michigan (2024). In recognition of her achievements, she won first-place awards in both the DVC/HNU Young Artist String Competition and the Silicon Valley Music Competition in 2024. She studies under the guidance of Corina Santos and Elbert Tsai in the pre-college division at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Outside of music, Lumi enjoys hanging out with her friends, going to church fellowship nights, and creating sketches in her free time.
Subin Kim | Clarinet

Subin Kim is a freshman at Archbishop Mitty High School. She is currently a member of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra. She also plays in Archbishop Mitty’s Wind Ensemble.
Prior to that, Subin was a clarinetist at the California Youth Symphony from 2022 to 2024, where she was first principal for the Associate Orchestra and co-principal for the Wind Symphony. During this time, she was also selected as a member of the All-State Junior High School Band in 2023 and 2024. Subin has received numerous awards, including 1st place in the 2024 US International Open Music Competition as a Young Prodigy, the 2024 Charleston International Classical Music Competition, the 2023 American Fine Arts Festival, and the 2023 US International Open Music Competition. To share her passion for music with the community, Subin is serving as a member of the KAMSA Youth Orchestra, plays with the Bello Ensemble,and actively participates in Bridges in Music, which regularly performs at a senior center in Palo Alto. Outside of playing the clarinet, Subin enjoys math challenges, reading, writing, golf, and Taekwondo.
Jeongyu Lee | Flute

Jeongyu Lee is a freshman at Cupertino High School. She has been playing the flute for 3 years under Minhee Kim. Since seventh grade, she was part of the Hyde Middle School band. Her band received a unanimous superior in the 2024 CMEA Band Festival. She is currently a part of Cupertino High School’s band/marching band. Besides playing the flute, she does taekwondo competitively.
