Sophia Cho | Clarinet

Sophia Cho is an 8th grader at Easterbrook Discovery School, and has been playing clarinet since 4th grade. Sophia has participated in the Allstate Junior High School Bands in 2024 and in 2025 as first chair. She currently plays in the Golden State Youth Orchestra's El Camino Wind Orchestra as principal clarinet. Sophia has also received 1st place in the San Francisco International Innovative Competition. Additionally, she has been selected as a junior finalist for the Honors Performance Series. Outside of music, she enjoys reading and listening to music.
Jisoo Park | violin

Jisoo Park is an 8th grader at Union Middle School. She started playing violin at the age of 9 under Lucy Jang. She has participated in California All-State JHS String Orchestra in 2024 and in 2025, had the honor of being the concertmaster for the JHS Concert Orcehstra. Additionally, she was invited to participate in the CMEA Bay Section Orchestra and served as the principal violinist of her section. She has also participated in KAMSA youth orchestra in the past two years. She is currently a member of the California Youth Symphony’s Associate Orchestra. Furthermore, Jisoo has received an award from the 2022 Silicon Valley Music Competition, the 2022 American Protege International Music Talent Competition, and the 2023 US International Open Music Competition. She received Gold for her performance at the 2024 CMEA State Solo and Ensemble Festival. During the summer of 2022, she was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. Outside of violin, she enjoys playing golf and basketball with her friends and family.
